My Project

I founded the 501(c)(3) WabiSabi Foundation to foster cultural unity between America and Japan.

Our activities include:
– Fundraising for the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation, which is recognized by the United Nations as a Peace Messenger Organization, to help create a just and peaceful world free of nuclear weapons. We make origami to sell at local Farmer’s Markets.

– Field trip to the Annual Sadako Peace Day in Montecito in honor of Hiroshima atomic bomb survivor Sadako Sasaki

– Performing traditional Japanese musical concerts and comedic skits at senior centers

– Hosting two-week summer and winter English-language camps in California for underprivileged Japanese children, sponsored by the Kyoto-based education company Gyro
